Fast ConstructionThe column-type combined shear walls spanning every three or four floors are defined as one segment, on which the corresponding beams are installed synchronously and the lattice girder floor slabs are laid directly. Thus, neither scaffolding nor the formwork system required for cast-in-situ slabs is needed.
High Percentage of Usable AreaBy applying the lattice combined shear walls can the effective section of structures be reduced, thus increasing the percentage of usable area. That is because this kind of wall is with a thickness normally between 150mm to 180mm, which is approximately 150% less than that of concrete walls.
Superior QualityThe lattice girders are fabricated in factory, with uniformly spaced rebars and evenly distributed stress. Therefore, the thickness of concrete floor slabs and that of reinforcement covers can be effectively guaranteed. After formworks are removed, the bottom surfaces of the concrete slabs are flat and smooth, without any cracking.
Convenient and SafeThe formworks and the lattice girders are fabricated in factory as integrated parts to facilitate construction. The floor slabs are with high rigidity and capable of bearing the loads during construction, and thus can be used as the construction work plane. To transfer the location for rebar tying from high altitude to factory not only improves the efficiency, but also better controls the quality.
Environmental FriendlinessGalvanized steel sheets instead of wooden formworks are used, which saves a large number of square timbers which support the formworks and protects nature accordingly. The formworks and the connectors can be recycled for dozens of times, and some can be recovered as fertilizers.
